ALL THE HELP
WITH NONE OF
THE HIGH.

Taylor Mammon is your end-to-end, single-source,
CBD infusion-as-a-service provider.

All-natural, hemp-derived CBD continues to be widely studied worldwide for the calming, relaxing and even pain-relieving effects that have come to be associated with it. CBD also continues to be documented for its relation to easing anxiety, improving attention and focus, and promoting homeostatic balance and wellbeing. With compelling and potentially therapeutic impacts such as these, it’s no wonder the CBD sector in the UK has reached £700 million annually* and is projected to only keep climbing.

Stripping Out THC

As a natural botanical, hemp-derived CBD, or cannabidiol, has quickly become a popular alternative to prescription and OTC pharmaceuticals — even more so because hemp-derived CBD causes no psychotropic effects. How so?

Well, Taylor Mammon CBD is sourced completely from hemp, not from the cannabis plant. So, to begin with, there is far less tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Secondly, our state-of-the-art extraction and refinement processes strip whatever THC is present down to such a miniscule degree — 0.3% or less —  that the CBD will not make you high. Our CBD is fully regulatory compliant and completely legal to use.

CBD Dosage Calculator

One of the most common questions your customers will ask about CBD is: How much should I take?

The answer to such a broad question, of course, is exactly what you’d expect: It depends. While a multiplicity of factors goes into using CBD (not least of which is first consulting with your physician),
here is some basic information that might help serve as a reference to your team and to your customers.

What Are Consumers Saying?

Of the estimated 1.6 million CBD aficionados across the UK — a number which, as market studies indicate, is dramatically
on the rise each day — here is just a quick cross-section of thoughts from our own base of satisfied CBD consumers.

YOUR CBD PRIMER.
Let’s Break It All Down.

The following information is neither meant to be exhaustive, nor exhaust you. It’s simply a summary of the busines and biology of CBD — and the characteristics that makes it so vital and profitable to the brands who partner with Taylor Mammon. Let’s break it down

Why Does the Body React So Naturally to CBD?

CBD, or cannabidiol, is just like the chemicals our bodies produce naturally. That’s right, we produce our own endocannabinoids. In fact, they make up a network of chemicals and receptors in our bodies called the Endocannabinoid System. And it’s this same system that helps us maintain homeostasis, better known as metabolic equilibrium, or balance. And CBD has been shown to help maintain homeostatic balance. How? Again, because it supports the same endocannabinoids we naturally produce ourselves.

How Is CBD Produced?

The general process of producing CBD entails cultivating and harvesting the hemp plant, drying it, extracting the CBD using COunder pressure, removing the plant waxes via filtration, distilling the extract to increase its purity, and then isolating pure cannabidiol by crystallization. The CBD is now ready for formulation into various end-products and form factors.

In What Forms Is CBD Produced?

CBD can be produced in various forms, depending on the compounds and concentrations that are present in the end result as well as the method used for cannabinoid extraction and refinement. Namely, these various forms include full-spectrum and broad-spectrum isolates and distillates. In the UK, the legal and regulatory-compliant forms of CBD are full-spectrum isolates and distillates. These can extracted from the hemp plant as oils, pastes and water-soluble powders, depending on the formulations and form factors the intended end-products require.

What is Bioavailability in CBD?

Different types of CBD and product form factors, also known as delivery mechanisms, offer differing levels of CBD bioavailability — meaning, how much, how quickly and how directly CBD is introduced, absorbed and impacts the body. Think about it. In a hospital, IV drips always work faster than other medication delivery mechanisms, because the medicine gets introduced directly into the bloodstream. Similarly, with CBD, oral sprays and oil drops that go under the tongue, as well as vape shots inhaled by your lungs, tend to inter the bloodstream faster and more efficiently than, say, gel caps, gummies and other edibles, because you’re bypassing the digestive system.

Using that same argument, creams, lotions, muscle balms and other moisturizing CBD topicals applied to the skin may have lower and slower bioavailability, as it must first seep through our epidermal layer. But the upside is that they can be directed and concentrated onto highly localized areas of the body. As usual, which form factor you decide to use is based on what goal you’re trying to achieve. And from a business standpoint, the more choices you’re able to offer consumers, the more likely your brand will connect — and the more likely they’ll use multiple CBD products to address multiple needs.

Is CBD Safe to Use?

Every day, more extensive amounts of global research emerges on the safety of CBD. Yet, like any other product intended for human use or consumption, you must always consider the source. The CBD industry is new, so there are many participants in this space who, by omission or commission, may be failing to meet all regulatory standards for CBD quality, consistency and purity — all of which impact safety. Know your source. Know your supply chain.
